In his moody, stylized paintings, Jason McCrea ( b.1989 ) creates a visual language grounded in colour harmony,
composition and atmosphere. Whether the work is on canvas or large installations of murals, his process follows a pattern of observation, drawing, and reconstruction.
His subject matter draws from both urban and natural landscapes, with particular attention to banal details and subtle qualities of light, weaving a modern sensibility seamlessly into natural surroundings. The resulting compositions are
visually engaging, contemporary, and responsive to their environment.
